Greenhouses in Pose
Portraits of a village
One year to build a picture of the Greenhouses together.
From Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in conjunction with Serremaggio, photographers from the Siena Foto Club will tour the village of Serre di Rapolano. They will look for faces, corners, gestures, details. The stories that the hamlet carries within.
They will continue to attend the Greenhouses throughout the year 2026, expanding and completing the photographic documentation needed to comprehensively represent the stories of village life.
The culminating point is the photo exhibition, which will take place at the Ancient Grange during Serremaggio 2027.
A year of shared work in which the people of the Greenhouses are not the background but the protagonists.

A community project
Siena Photo Club
Photographic association based in Siena, active in the area with documentary projects, training and exhibitions. Artistic care and implementation of the project.
The Grange APS
Association that manages the Antica Grancia of Serre di Rapolano complex: museum, Historic Residence, cafeteria. Project organizer and venue for the final exhibition.
Pro Loco Serremaggio
Promoter of Serremaggio and bridge between the project and the village community.
Participate in the project
Fill out the form to join the photo project sponsored by APS La Grancia in collaboration with the Siena Foto Club. SFC photographers will be the ones to contact you for shots. The project focuses on people who live or have lived in Serre di Rapolano, but those who have a strong connection to the village (family members, regular visitors) can also participate. It is then expected to be a resident or born in the Municipality of Rapolano Terme. Those who are not must specify in the space provided why they are requesting to participate in the project.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to be from Greenhouses to participate?
The project focuses on people who live or have lived Serre di Rapolano, but those who have a strong connection to the village (family members, regular visitors) can also participate. Write it in the form.
Is participation free of charge?
Yes, totally. There is no cost either to be photographed or to report places and people.
Do I need to be good at posing?
No. Siena Foto Club photographers take care of everything: they will accompany you in posing naturally, where you are most comfortable.
Will my photos be published?
Photos may be selected for the final exhibition at Serremaggio 2027 and posted on the project’s official website and social channels. At first contact you will sign a release that clearly explains what uses are intended.
Can I decide whether to enter the exhibition or just the project?
Yes. The release provides for different levels of consent. You will choose whether you want the photos to be used only in the project, even on display, or even on public channels.
Can I report another person without his permission?
You can report her to us, but we will not photograph or contact her without her explicit consent.
When are the photos taken?
Sessions start on May 12, 2026 and continue throughout the year. We will agree with you on the day and place you prefer, wherever you feel most like yourself.
